When a familiar woodland cottage appears in her crystal ball, Elowen feels an irresistable pull to uncover its meaning.
Guided by a mysterious companion, she steps into a world of glowing stones, drifting clouds and hidden wonders.
But this journey is more than discovery- there is something she must set right.
Here are some of my initial illustrations, where I explored the visual concept for Elowen. I am now developing this into a short novel, with deeper focus on Elowen's character and experience.
The crystal ball began to glow. When Elowen leaned closer, something began to appear.
Their eyes met. It felt like an invitation. The cat turned and led her inside.

The black cat watched her closely as she slowly turned the pages... and there she found it - a hidden compartment, and within it, a golden key.
With a gentle nudge of the cat's paw, one book tilted forward.
A lever, revealing a hidden door.
A dazzling waterfall spilled into deep, shimmering pools below. Nearby, a flutter of butterflies gathered around a single stone....
She realised that she was being lifted... held within the quiet rhythm of a butterfly's wings.
